"NEW YEAR RESOLUTION" AS THE SAYING.

Well, Well, here comes “anew year resolution saying” for every one in Africa especially Uganda .it was before the start of the year 2009 when every one used to say ……”I want to make anew year resolution” meaning …maybe change of life style, personal traits. Plan big or change of personal horizon to another destiny. And when the New Year comes, the resolution becomes a song bird, but when it comes to mid January like of now the song fades.

As the year started,I expected atremendous change of people’s habit as according to their saying but never the less it has always been difficult to change someone’s life style. cause someone’s character remains his/her real traits.

The main reason as to the above is all about a collegue of mine had the same saying before the year begun. Incidentally by time the year clocked in, It found him drunk and sleeping in the bar. Like I remain with the same statement…. Till todate none have made any promising changes to the song of their resolution assumptions.
Thanks
Ann.

CHRISTMAS BREAK

Continuing from where i stopped, but totally adifferent thing................

it was time for every one to go back home for our christmas break. Now here, we are all workers from adiffferent localities but all joined up in another strange place that is not our home places, well being afunny thing! we are still happy and enjoying our jobs. More funny about it three white guys(friends)Wes,Roland and Ferdy also had to go back to there home places and which was jorem's home, really anice home.I believe they must have enjoyed there first christmas in Africa at there new home.

Well, back to the point i left the work place abit early than them, good enough they dropped me to the bus park,i left them going to ''hurt'' for chimpanzes,to be honest i dont know what really happened there during there hurting period!?find out more from the real source..by following this links..http://www.heeling.nl/, http://www.stage-uganda.nl/

after aweek this three friends pass by at my home place as they were going for there christmas break to there new home, i had promised to give them some gnuts(peanuts).Roland was abit mad on me because i did'nt prepare it for them, what really surprised both of them is how they were going to eat them when they are not baked. Forgeting they were going to there new home! they gave me acall before reaching to where to they would find me just because they were to avoid 'african time excuse' but as i speak by now they must have gotten used to that excuse.

Dancing

I will begin where I last stopped, about one of my pals who tries hard to learn how to dance.

Here in Africa there is a lot of time excuse "as African time". Why do I have to say that? Here follows the reason........
The week after the college organised a get-to-gather party between the administration and the students. two friends (Ferdy and Wes) were invited to attend. But this pals are Mzungu (white guys) and one of them is the one who is curious about knowing how to dance. The problem comes that to this two guys time is time, they assume that the time they were told to come to the party was exactly that time, they decided to come at the proprietary time. They meet me as they were going there, I told them about "African time". They were really smart to understand so they went home till I called them after almost an hour. With "African time" you can never be late, only to early...

If you really need to know what am meaning about African time, please read my friends blog at www.heeling.nl (translated from Dutch). At the party we started with the agenda of the day. Whereby the first agenda item was to sing the national anthem followed by the college anthem then as always a lot of boring speeches followed.
I am really typing all this just to explore to you how the organisation of different occasions works. And if your are not a Ugandan, your really need to learn how to be patient and you need to learn how to do a lot of nothing before you go to Uganda.

Time for dancing, remember Wes is really willing to learn how to dance, Some stubborn drunkard students joins him in the dance, I think that on that day he has acquired all the best dance moves he had ever wished to learn. It was really fun.
“One mans meat is always another mans poision”. Wes friend on the party(Ferdy) looks if he wished that a hole in the floor could swallow him when one of the nice, beautiful, stubborn young ladies came out for him to ask to join on the dancing floor!

well, well, well, always a lot of words takes some ones mind to get bored!
find out more next time
